On November 22, the first forum of rectors of higher educational institutions of the two states was held in Bishkek as part of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. It was attended by the heads of about 10 higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, as well as heads of well-known universities of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the main tasks of the development of the higher education system of the two countries, personnel training, academic mobility of students and teachers, priorities of bilateral cooperation, etc. were discussed.

    The main purpose of the event was the formation of a joint educational space of the two countries and its integration into the world educational space, the creation of a common educational space in Central Asia, the deepening of interaction between Kazakh-Kyrgyz higher education systems, the harmonization of legislative and legal acts, etc.

    Within the framework of the forum, Osh State University with the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after Satpayev located in Almaty signed a bilateral agreement. In accordance with this, the two educational institutions will cooperate in such areas as the implementation of joint projects in leading fields of science and education, academic mobility, organization of visits, holding international conferences, creation of a double degree program.
