Implementation of double degree programs continues at OshSU

    On May 28, Vladimir Nikolaevich Ivanov, Rector of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I.Ya.Yakovlev, and Alexander Kirilov, Head of the Department for Scientific and Innovative Work, arrived at Osh State University on a working visit. They were received by the Rector of OshSU Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, Vice-Rector for Science Ruslan Arapbaev, Director of the Department of International Relations Abdygany Abduvaliev, Dean of the Faculty of MIT Ulan Sopuev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology Ykybal Temirkulova.

    The parties discussed issues of cooperation in the implementation of double diplomas, joint educational programs, academic mobility, organization and conduct of scientific, cultural and social events.

    University rectors have signed an agreement on the joint implementation of a double degree program in the specialty Russian language with additional English on the basis of the Faculty of Russian Philology of Osh State University. According to the educational program of the new specialty, students will study at Osh State University for the first and second years, the next two years - at CHSPU and upon graduation will receive diplomas from two universities.

    It should be noted that in the 2021/2022 academic year, the dual diploma program between universities began to be implemented in the direction of applied informatics, the profile "Automated management of business processes and finance" on the basis of the Faculty of MIT, within which students of the 1st and 2nd courses also study at Osh State University and 3rd, 4th courses - at CHSPU. Double university diplomas are recognized in both Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The amount of the contract for studying at a Russian university is 10% higher than at OshSU.

    The heads of the Chuvash State Pedagogical University visited the Faculty of MIT, met with students studying under the dual diploma program and presented letters of thanks from the university to distinguished students and teachers.

    The parties will continue to work together on the integration of curricula and the exchange of educational programs.
