A video conference was held today between Kalmyk State University named after B.B. Gorodovikov and higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic. The rector (Professor B. K. Salaev), vice-rectors and deans of faculties Kalmyk State University, as well as rectors and vice-rectors of universities of the Kyrgyz Republic took part in it. Osh State University was represented by the head of the Department of International Relations Abdygany Abduvaliev and the chief specialist of the Department of International Relations Zilola Rakhimova.

Rector Kalmyk State University Badma Salaev warmly welcomed all participants of the videoconference and noted the importance of joint work in the scientific and educational sphere. He spoke about the university and about the strategic academic leadership program “Priority 2030” – the largest program for the development of higher education in Russia.

Abdygany Abduvaliev also welcomed the representatives of the higher education institutions of these universities and presented a brief presentation about Osh State University. He noted that OshSU will be glad to see everyone at the III Forum of University Rectors.

The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation on academic mobility of students, residents and teachers, double-degree education programs, internships, organization of guest lectures, implementation of joint research projects, as well as the entry of OshSU into the association “Alliance of Leaders of the New Generation".

As a result of todays meeting, it was decided to sign a cooperation agreement and an agreement of intent for cooperation within the framework of the Alliance of New Generation Leaders Association between Kalmyk State University and Osh State University within the framework of the III Forum of Rectors of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, which will be held on October 13 at Osh State University.
